Diane's artistic journey began with glass, moved into metal clay and has continued to expand with the addition of lampwork beads, and other metal working to her repertoire. Diane continues to challenge herself by entering contests and challenges in different mediums. In 2009 Diane received "The Award of Excellence for an Over Seas Artist" in the Annual Art Clay "Silver Accessories" contest in Japan. Diane was a featured artist in Holly Gages "Metal Clay Calendar" in 2010 and again in 2011. She most recently won an award with Metal Clay Today for Mixed Media. Diane is a juried artist at the annual 2011 Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Her current work consists of her own lampwork beads, metal clay, and mixed media. Diane originated the PMC Guilds’ "Metal Heads, Feat of Clay" Phoenix area chapter. Diane led the group from 2007 to 2010 with a focus on education, lining up guest instructors and sharing show and competition information. |
